timing belt deflection question...
today i did a timing belt on my friend's 2000 accord 4cyl F23... I couldnt get the belt tight enough without pryong up an the tensioner a little bit while i tightened the bolt... im afraid that it might be a lil too tight... the car runs fine and smooth with no whining noise that i can hear, but then again its not my car and i dont drive it everyday.. i think accord motors have a certain whine noise to them anyway... well the deflection on the long side (exhaust cam to crankpully) was about a 1/2 an inch.. what do you guys think?
