Default New to the Forum - have some ?'s about GF's Accord

Hey all. I'm not a honda owner myself (well not anymore at least, I've had several), but my girlfriend has a 97 Accord auto with an F22. I wanted to know what is needed to do a 5 speed conversion? She had fun driving my Nissan around, and wanted to know if she could convert her car over.

You might want to look in ACCORD FAQ Sticky. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1664547 and go to Drivetrain and there you go. Infos.

You serious?!?! 650 for a used tranny. That's expensive! SR20DET Tranny's only go for about $250-$300! lol Why is Honda stuff so much bank? Thanks for the info though, I'll have to look around and such.

thats just a yard, and what they quoted me at, you can find them cheeper on ebay. a rebuilt trans could still run you just as much there though. I also know that junk yard thinks there sitting on gold, ande that it is worth way more, then what it is worth.

Also, what exhaust is out there that has a real tame sound? My GF doesn't like the fat-can noise, and she doesn't want it as loud as my S13.
