Default h23 crank in h22a4 block

Will it work because arent the mains 55 in the h22a4 and 50 mm on the h23 or is that just the h22a cranks ?

That not wholely true.

as long as it's a 1997 block then you can. 1998+ used 55mm mains, it's not limited strictly to "H22A4s."
