There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with using nitrous...It's usually first time users that don't know what they're doing that grenade their engines....You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen blown motors being posted here and all I ask is "Check the jet in the purple box" and ppl go "WTF a jet is supposed to be there??!!"...I used nitrous for quite some time on my car at one point, had ZERO problems

yes I am going to still use it. The b18a1 is 16 years old on my car so I knew it was going to go. The question is why did that valve fail?

My theory is either the valve was pitted and exhaust was leaking out threw the exhaust valve on the wrong stroke.

or

I am running lean and my fuel pressure was down.

The machine shop will determine wether or not my existing valves are pitted, and if they can have a valve grind done to them. Once ive got the head back and installed can check fuel pressure.

In the meantime I can install my new front+rear bumpers and sideskirts. Als d a battery relocation and install a new rad :D

And yes I have both fuel pressure and nitrous jets in and set to 55 spray :D
