i'm trying to remove the clear from my cf hood. i've been using 220 wet and it's going to take a few hours to get it all off. i'd like to get a can of aircraft remover to finish the job.

Yeah, I wouldnt do it. CF is basically a fabric type of material, and I dont know how well the AR would react with it. Just repolish and reclear.

if you put aircraft stripper... say bye bye to the carbon fiber hood!
It will open a hole in your hood!
Keep sanding, 220.... 320..... 400.... 600.... 1000..... and clear coat that hood!

i did it to my hood. all it does is dull the resin, but it doesnt ruin the carbon it self... it will eat up the clear coat so you can just wipe it away. then you can recoat it...
