My battery light came on like two days ago, and my battery is good its either the alternater, or some sort of electrical issue, pretty much whenever my rpms go above 4000rpm the battery light turns off then the second i shift out of gear and the rpms drop it comes back on. Does this sound like an alternator problem and if so is there a way to check it?

 

Alternator, when you spin it up it's able to overcome internal inefficiencies.

 

so you think its definately the alternator? just wondering how does an alternator go bad anyway if the bearing and belt are completely fine.

 

The internal bits can wear out, in technical terms the brushes and the windings. Also the Voltage regulator can go bad causing it to overproduce shortening it's lifespan.
