toda C's too aggressive?
i notice everyone here who has toda cams have As or Bs but rarely any Cs... are they just too aggresive to use... i don't might a rough idle or whatever, just as long as i can kill other folks with ease. is it possible to use toda Cs in a ls/b18c1 vtec, if my block is reinforced, and i have upgraded toda valvetrain? help me out!
I like em
To me they are the same as the B's just with better top end 7000+
They do require more tuning, more up keep and more attention to detail then say the Spec A's do.

why do they call these cams "vtec killers"?

The C's are no problem for daily driving... I have them in my daily driver with TWM ITB, idle is not that bad, tuning is the key with the B's and C's... I think the trade off is worth it , there's no better feeling then pulling up to a corvette C06 at the street races and take his $$$ b/c he's a non believer

oh yeah, I forgot, 48 or 51mm? , did you use a hood scoop and if so, where did you place it?
sorry for the questions on the ITB's and getting a little OT from the original thread but I wanted to get some info from an ITB user. Tony the Tiger is thinking of switching to these on his beast and has some questions on them compared to the Hayward ITB's that C-speedracing had posted up here.

To solve the throttle sticking issue all I did was use a helper spring from the throttle link to a little mount I fabbed out of aluminum and bolted it onto to a 10mm hole on the strut tower....
As for a filter I started using the ITB's with no filter, just open but dust/dirt can be a problem... Lip helped me out by giving me the last of the TWM fiberglass air box's that they don't make anymore and it fit like a charm in my CX... It didn't fit his car cause of the big brake master cylinder.... It comes with a 2 1/2 opening so I ran a 2 1/2 pipe to a iceman elbow to the wheel well with a HKS power flow filter...The car runs a **** load better now that it's getting cold air instead of under the hood hot air off the firewall...

You might want to consider bumping up your compression if you are planning to run the Toda C's. You will also need adjustable cam gears to tune them in order to take full advantage of their potential. A stand alone fuel management system would not hurt either.
