Crankshaft TDC??

Default Crankshaft TDC??

So how do i know when my crankshaft is at top dead center? So i dont run the pistons into the valves!

white dot on the crankshaft and allign it til it hits the plastic piece that is pops out a lil and is straight..

An easy way to tell its at TDC is to take the #1 cylinder plug out, stick a long screw driver or something of the like. Turn the crank until the piston is at the highest point which should push the screw driver up. If the timing marks don't line up, correct as needed. Good Luck

Thats just an easy way to do it, I always make sure to line it up on the mark thats on the block next to the crank pulley.
