Did Tein change their spring rates??
I was on Tein's website recently because we thought we were going to have to replace one of the front dampeners of my Tein Flex setup (from the accident).
The spring rates listed for Flex on their website are 10K/7K. But when I made a post about the Flex setup weeks after originally purchasing them a couple years ago, I was stating 9K/4K (and there was of course a lot of debate as to whether that was a good setup).
So did Tein just update their line and fairly drastically change their spring rates, or was it a typo then or now?? Anyone know? Seems very odd.

call em and find out, i wouldnt be surprised if they did up the spring rates everyone has been calling tein "soft" but 9k/6k is a very streetable setup
If you look at the site and read, there is a part in there where you have the option of different spring rates for each setup. The Flex listed that you can go from +2kg to -1 kg. If you take the 10/7 listed and use a -1 setup you would get the normal 9/6 that people talk about. I guess the spring rates would depend on the company who ordered them.
I just got off the phone with Tein USA and they confirmed the rates did change. They originally sold the JDM version of Flex here which is 9K/4K. Now they have revised them and sell a "USDM" version which is 10K/7K. The shocks have been revalved as well. So that's that, very interesting. Must have listened to all of us that thought 4K in the rear was too light.
Either way, I think I'm going to sell mine and either go back to stock or put Koni's on with the stock springs.
By the way, Tein's number is 562-861-9161 in case anyone needs it. I couldn't find it listed on their website and got it from some helpful folks at http://www.rr-ax.com.
