Brakes Problem
Hey, I replaced my pads and rotors in September of 2006. Just recently my brakes in the front left wheel have been squeeking when stopping. I came home and checked to see if the pads were low. They aren't. I later took it out for a drive and noticed it was making a slight squeek when im driving but a louder squeek when I brake. I think it may be the wheel bearing but I'm not sure. I need help as to see what might be the problem. Any suggestions?

Either redo them with some brake quiet(you can get that at any auto parts store), or deal with the sound. I'd personally redo it. I can't stand any type of noise like that when it comes to my car

A lot of pad squeak. If you didn't notice before the brake job, then it's most likely the pads. Your wheel bearing would mostly not squeak, or make any noise unless you ground out the bearings. Anti-squeak on the backs of the pads will help, but most aftermarket pads I've tried squeak. Honda pads are about the only ones i've put on that didn't
FYI, if you want to know if your wheel bearing is bad.
Jack the wheel off the ground from the jack locations.
Leave the tire on, Grab the tire from both sides and start trying to move it around. try lifting it up and down, in and out, side to side daniel san. If it moves (independant of the rack and pinion and support inside the spindle (even a little as it should not move), the bearing is out.
