do i have to have an interior? can i just have the driver seat?

 

You can autocross without an interior. The catch is that autocrossing is divided upby classes, that are determined by the natural abilities of the car and by its level of prep. Having no interior will put your car on a "level of prep" that is in direct competition with cars that have absurdly built engines, super wide race tires etc.

It shouldnt matter on your first few times anyway, but as you get hooked, you'll soon feel the pain when everyone in you class is way ahead of you.

Just have fun and dont worry about it for now.
