how do i take the door panel off a 95 accord?
i have messed around with my accord for about a half hour. i took the screw out inside the door handle as well as the one inside the compartment next to the window switches, and the switches simply will not come out. i'm afraid to force it out, because it seems like it will break if i do. i can get the handle part off fine, but i see no way of getting the entire panel off. i've been waiting to put in my new boston acoustics speakers, and this just seems like a dumb setback to have when i know how to do everything else lol!
please help!

there is a screw in the 'cup' where the door latch handle is; then remove the latch handle out of the way,a plastic push pin in the upper hinge area.... the lower part of the panel is held on with plastic clips that should pop loose if given a sharp tug, then you can look behind the panel with a flash light for other attachments.
yeah, a long flat screwdriver will work well for popping out those plastic rivets out so you don't pull any of them through the door panel. and when taking the window switches out (assuming you have pw), use a flat screwdriver to pry up the end that is closest to the rear. There is a plastic notch at the front of the setup that you have to ease out, try pulling up the back part so you can see it. If you don't it's apt to break. Mine broke when I was putting in new speakers, but I put it back in anyways and it's not noticeable, haven't had any problems. good luck.
yeah that was my problem when i was just trying to do it. i was pulling the side of the switch panel closest to the back and it cracked. i don't want it to break and i've tried prying it from all angles and it won't come out. any suggestions?
i got the panel with the handle out but i don't see anything behind it. are there screws, bolts, etc. that i'm missing back there?

Maybe try prying under the front part of it? Other than that, I wouldn't sweat it too much even if you DO break it off, like I said, mine broke, and the window switches still stay in there just fine. Can't even tell, unless you stick something under the front end and pry up.
ok, well after i do that how do i get the panel as a whole off? are there any more bolts or screws to take off or do i just pry it off around the edges?
Just pry around the edges until it comes loose. You'll have to disconnect the rod that connects the handle inside to the outside handle and unplug all the connectors for the power locks and windows, then you should be able to pull it out no problem. once you get it loose you have to angle the rear side up and pull back to get it out from under the triangle piece opposite the mirror. Re-install should be reverse of removal.

weak. I have to replace both my front motors, they go slow, but they still work. I wouldn't jump to conclusions that the motor died though, lots of people have problems with improperly lubed regulators, or the window switches having bad connects. You should be able to tell if the motor is running easily with the door panel off. Good luck with your speakers, with mine the screws were spaced different than stock so I had to drill holes and just screw into the metal; just to give you a heads up. Let me know how it goes.
nope, I just used the stock wiring that was there, no crossovers, don't play my stereo loud enough for the distortion to blow them up. And I bet you're out of posts for the day since you're trial. But I should be on tomorrow as well.
