i have a 91 prelude with a b21a1 engine in it.

i need to replace the engine now and i was wondering if the b20b long block (in this link linky) will be a direct bolt in with my old transmission and engine mounts.

also will i need to replace the old computers and ecu.

 

Sorry, but that is a different type of B-series engine. That is from the family of b16s, B18s, and B20s from Civics, CRVs, and Integras. The 3G Prelude B-series engines are very different.

 

ok thanks, since i cant seem to find a b21a1 to replace mine, and b20s are hard to find in my area.

are there any easy bolt in engines that i can swap out, with reasonable power compared to the b21?

 

If you can get ahold of the group buy custom motor mounts for the H22, then you can swap in a H22

 

If you can find a jdm b21, you could go that route.

 

well teh problem is i cant seem to find a JDM b21.

and i dont have a funds to hey an h22

but hmmm may be a worthy investment to find the mounts

Try giving the people at hmotors a call. They're good people from everything that I've read.

I've never seen a b21 on the site, but I'm sure they could get you on without much hassle.

I also know they sell mounting kits for H-series engines, but they just say that they fit into civics.

Like I said, just call them, talking to a live person should give you a good idea on what to do.

thanks man, i was looking on their website because i found a forum that said they had prelude mounts and i couldn't find them.

Ahaha...you won't find them anywhere like that. Search on here for the 3G H22 mount kit, or go to preludepower.com and look in the 3rd gen forum. It'll be easy to find there.

thanks, i found a post about these on preludepower.com, one of the guys is buying these in bulk and reselling them it seems, unless he works for the company. it seems everyone is looking for ttem but nobody is producing them. heh
