What size Azenis on GSR fat fives??
I just picked up a set of GSR fat fives for my 91 hatch...what size Azenis should I put on these?? Will 205/50R15's look silly on a narrow wheel? Any pics or input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks
GS-R wheels are 15x6. 195/50-15 is the best 15" size for your car. Very sticky tires available in 195/50-15 include the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, and the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212. If you're not autocrossing or tracking the car, and you're looking for more "bang for the buck" (better purchase price than the Goodyear, better treadlife than the Hankook), another choice worth considering is the Kumho SPT, $50-51/tire.
Azenis can be mounted on the GS-R wheels, but the smallest 15" size Azenis available is 205/50-15. That's a bit big for a '91 hatch for street use, but might be worth considering if you'll only be using them for track or autocross.

The car will be my daily driver and autocross car in the spring. I sold my 99 Si a few months ago and am in withdrawl....so I have some plans for this car. Does anyone have pics of the Azenis on a Hatch, or any photochoppers willing to do it???

You might want to consider getting a second set of wheels. That way, you could put the Azenis on one set for autocross, and use the other set for daily driving tires (like the F1 GS-D3 or SPT) that will give decent traction in rain and last you 30-40K miles of daily driving, instead of using Azenis which you will have to replace three times as often and aren't as good in rain. Heck, within 30-40K miles of daily driving, the second set of wheels will more than pay for themselves, by not having to buy a second and third set of Azenis.
