Painting my Car
if you don't care much about how it looks or the quality of paint. go to maaco or earl scheib. they can get you paint jobs for like $300. of course, i would only go this option if it's my beat up daily commuter that i don't give a sh*t about
I'm getting my car repainted in same oem color here in NJ and I expecting about 4k perhaps 5k cause I'm going to be demanding for good quality. I want a few coats and nice a clearcoat, I have rear fender rust, painting and installing aftermarket sideskirts, bumper and spoiler. So just to give you an idea
^I see your in Rahway. Your not that far from me. I know of a few places around Newark. Expect to pay at least $1500. PM me if you need help finding a place. I will be glad to help you.
maaco does some cheap (in cost) paint jobs. my friend painted his 1989 silverado black and it was red for about $600 and it looks pretty good, but of course they just spray the outside of the body. and if you don't paint it the original color than your door jams are going to stand out. and thats what his looked like. but i think with the doors closed it was a very good paint job. no runs or bubbles or anything. i would recommend them only if your painting it the original color. if you are then it should look pretty good. but other wise its going to cost some money.
maaco is ****. bro got his painted there. orange peel ftl. my quotes here in town were starting around 1500-2000, but "I got people" so mine will cost like 750 for a nice job
