This is a picture of my CRX SiR that I owned before my Mugen EF7 in 1998. After a long night of drinking and smoking pot, My buddy and two of his friends climbed into my car and proceeded to drop off the car after borrowing it. They never made it to my house and this is what happened. No one in the car was wearing any seatbelts at the time and they all survived miraculously. The driver suffered a fully broken rib cage, a broken jaw, one punctured lung, two broken legs, a broken arm, and severe head trauma. The passenger broke every single bone in his body, and the guy in the doggy seat broke two shoulder bones. The car was a total loss. The only thing that was recovered was the VTEC head and the ECU later that year to build an LS-VTEC into my friend's LS Turbo 96 CX Hatch.

Be responsible when you drive.

makes me wonder how safe is my crx, i pray i dont end up in an accident that bad. Just be careful and dont drive wrecklessly, think what your doing and remember that your not the only one on the road.

I just wanted to say that unless it was one of his first times smokin weed then that probably had nothing to do with it. They've done studies on how smoking can affect your driving and the people that smoked drove safer than the ones who didn't, because normally it makes people more cautious when drivin. Drinking on the other hand, has a huge effect on driving and either makes people not give a **** or just too messed up to stay on the road. That's why DWI is such a big deal.

 

Now you know why not to get high.

riding two other passengers in a CRX is bad idea to begin with. i did that a couple times before and made me nervouse.

glad to hear everyone survived. from the pics, i wouldn't have thought it would have ended like that.

 

Yep me and Gary went up there and I was taking the pictures. Took me and Gary 2 hours to pry the intake manifold off the fire wall and another hour to take the head off. The block was cracked in 2932893764823 places and it took us another hour after that to pry the ECU out of the car.

 

yea pot and booze=bad combo. booze= harmful pot=............

 

if he broke every bone in his body he would have been better off dying ....

 

smoking does nothing it was the DRNKING! trust me i ran a perfectly good time at the track high as a bird! but i can't drive when drunk so i don't try to drive far LOL. yeah breaking every bone is pretty bad but losing your life is worse IMO

 

can you say full roll cage ? I guess that would be a good choice if you like to drive drunk. Lucky they didn't kill anyone else and didn't go to jail
