9k brakes already squeaking??
Anyone elses brakes already squeaking? I really notice it in the morning when i'm leaving my house for work when the cars cold....do they warm up after a while?? I don't really remember to pay attention to it later..or my music is turned up so I probably wouldn't hear it..but how long would the honda brake pads or whatever is squeaking, let's just say in harsh conditions...or braking hard a lot (which I don't do) last? Thanks.

I have heard that using the engine to slow you down isn't the best idea. It causes extra wear on the clutch and its cheaper to replace the brakes then it is to replace the clutch.

Wow!!! Did I read that right? I'm with "Michael Bolton" on this one. I'm pretty sure I'd rather replace a $100 set of brake pads than a $300 clutch. I wouldn't recommend using down shifting as your brakes. They put brakes on the car for a reason. They're cheaper and easier to replace.
