what steel should I use?
Ok so I am building a Ramhorn manifold for my car and Iam having a hard time deciding on what steel I should use.
Now I read some guys are using T304 SS and some are using t321 SS.I know the T321ss will handle more heat but its a fair bit more money is it worth the extra or will the t304 work fine?I am also wondering if I should use sch10 or 40 I know thicker should be better any input would be great since this is my first manifold.

321 is overkill for mild boost. 304 is fine, and the thicker material gives you more resistance to cracking for sure. The thicker material will also shrink more, so be aware of that.
Good luck.
Good luck.
so the thicker will shrink more I didnt know that thanks
So you think the T304 sch 10 will do the trick?I am not going to be pushing a reatared amount of boost max around 15-17psi.
Oddly enough vibrant sells all the piping needed for this build but I am hoping to find the peices a bit cheaper localy.

Are you in NB canada?
There are a few guys in ontario that will have good selection, and no duty, brokerage etc. SCH.10 is fine in my opinion.
Really, the welding process is just as important in getting a reliable piece.
