youve GOT to be kidding me....
...my passenger fog light is AGAIN busted. Hasnt even been fixed for a few months. This is bullshit. There has got to be something to protect them or else its not even worth having.
The fogs are cheap and I dont know if they are tempered glass. I am doing mine with LEXAN. Its 3.00 and cant be broken, but will eventually melt in 8 months.
But it is a hellava lot cheaper than buying new fogs

Fogs get hot as crap. So the LEXAN bubbles up around that time. But here is a good thread to look at.

Because the fogs produce alot of heat. Try and touch the glass lense after driving around for awhile and see how hot it is...
sweet DIY find as well Caveman

The 8 month term is probably do to the Lexan getting heat cycled. This will cause the material to be come weak, warp and probably cloud it.

The reason for it only lasting 8 months is because some people use the fogs constantly. Not just for rain and fog.

After looking into it, im considering the yellow lexan, being that i only use my fogs once in a while *i think i have used them maybe 10-15 times since i got the car last year* would this be a good fix?
I have the 3m product on my fog lights. On my 05 ex and my fa5. I use my fog lights all the time. I have no problems with the 3m product it has been on for over 2 years. The stuff works great.

I didn't expect that to happen to you again.
I took my driver's fog light out so there's a
hole now for my cold air intake filter to "see"
If you have a cold air intake, maybe you can
do what I'm doing.
Oh yeah, I have a custom air bypass so
I'm not worried about hydro-locking.
