Misshifted motor is all messed up. bent valve? HELP!! *searched*
ok well i been searching for hours trying to figure out what i did to my motor.
anyways, i was driving it. misshifted 2nd gear on my B18C1 and it over revved sick. and i hear a "CLINK" sound and it rattles a bit and my motor bogs and dies out. i try starting it back. cranking cranking nothing. but when i crank and i give it gas it'll start i just gotta feed some fuel to it or it'll die out. anyways as i was pulling into my driveway. a big white cloud of white smoke took over. and my motor sounds like crap. im not sure what to trigger did this. bent valves. blown piston rings. a buncha other stuff. well i since i cant find the exact answer on here so im hoping someone will know whats wrong with my motor.
no oil leaks neither. and coolant temp is fine. no hole in the block. so i cant really figure it out. im leaning towards a messed up head. but imputs will be great!!

sounds like you messed up a valve. and don't drive it anymore. your messing your motor up even worse with that noise.
Damn man that sux, sorry to hear.. somethimes i get nervous because every once in awhile i too will mis-shift.. i'm into seeing some pics GL

i put "bent valve?" as in could it might be a bent valve.
well i took a look at it. i seen that. #4 on the intake side. 1 of the retainer broke in half. and the valve drop. everything else looks good.
what should i do now. i was thinking b16 head w/ ITR cams. yay or nay? im still to pull the head and check out everything else. hopefully my block is ok. cuz the noise was coming from the head only. and the problem seems to be appeared in the head. so yea.
im asking for help not for a smart *** to kill my thread.

Since you're not going to be driving the car til it's fixed,
I would suggest parking it in a nice spot it can sit for a while,
Taking the head completely off to check the tops of the pistons(and other head dmg),
and pop off the oilpan while you're at it, you'll probably have some shaving in there.
Get w/e you can that will match up the best for the gsr head,
It'll be a good learning experience if you've never done anything like this yet.

yea that was my exactly plan. i just want to see if my pistons might have gotten hit up. i got the money right now. so i have alot of choices. i talked to jerry from jerry built bout a B20vtec longblock. so i might get that instead and just sell my GSR long block.

well, my tranny is pretty ghey cuz its kinda hard to get 2nd it. (i just bought this GSR) and i shifted at 8k. but when i threw it into 2nd it revved pass 9k. and i just hear a "CLINK" so im not sure how bad it is. i just know i got a 1 broken retainer. dropped that valve too.

nah, i was just finishing up slammin the crap outta my DB. and i am trying to figure out why my car doesnt pop vtec. but i feel the secondary pop. and i guess when i full throttled it and threw it into 2nd. it wouldnt go in. i need a new tranny. even when crusing, you gotta jam 2nd in. but anyways, im towing my car to jerry built tomorrow so he can work his magic. wish me luck!!

ok so i told you guys that my 1 of my retainer snap in half. well today i am begining the change of my head and when i took off my intake, there was oil just pouring outta my throttle body. and i removed my throttle body, there was just a pool of oil sittin there. what and where did this come from?!
