Default h22 Auto Tensioner Timing Belt Change

this is my first time changing out the timing belt on an H22( I am more familiar with the B series) I took off the crank pulley and everything and took of the timing belt and also the timing belt auto tensioner. when i line everything up and go to put the auto tensioner back on, i cant get it on. it seems like the auto tensioner is all the way up and i dont know how to adjust it to make it go down.
can someone give me some instructions on how to put the tensioner on and timing belt back on

You have to compress it. There is a special tool or you can make one. Better yet convert to the H23's manual tensioner.

well what would the tool look like, i thought about doing that but this auto tensioner is new and this car is for a friend of mine, when i took the 8mm bolt off on the end, and i turned it with a screw driver it came down, but theres no way i can get it in with the screw driver in there.
