what size carsound cat can i use for a dc 4-1 header and a greddy sp2 catback.. thanks

 

There is a DC USDM type r, the JDM type r, and the 4-1. Which model do you have as the collector sizes are different.

 

i have the dc sports 4-1 for a 00 civic si....

 

That header has a 2" collector.

 

it will bolt to the stock cat (it should)

what about a carsound cat? 2.25??

 

as long as the flange on the converter is the same as the header and cat back, you can use it (probably is). Just check the bolt spacing, if it matches you're good to go.

 

but i have to order the cat. and i dont want to have to return it if it cant fit...

I can tell you that I bought a magnaflow 2 1/2" high flow cat and it fits the stock exhaust flange, the 2 1/4" flange on the cat back I had after that and the 2 1/2" cat back I now have on the car. If the cat fit all 3 sizes of cat backs, I'm sure it will also fit the header. You should be fine...different size pipe diameters, but same flange used on each one.
