ls vtec rod bolts question

i have a b18a1 block im working on people said to me that 9mm bolts will work but when i go to use them the bolts dont fit in the rod looks like their to big pleae help i need to kow what size i need for this or can i have a machine shop get the holes drilled out ...?

Pretty sure the LS rods need 8mm and B-series VTECs use 9mm.

Why use oem rod bolts on an LS/VTEC. ARP rod bolts are 40 bucks and they're cheap insurance.
