Try craigslist.com or local junkyards. You may need to rebuild the motor but it will be cheaper than the jdm engines.

honestly, i dont think there is a cheap way to convert over an h22. i bought an h22 for my 91 wagon. i got it off of ebay, and i had no probs. i think shipped i payed 1700 bucks. not bad, gauranteed under 60k miles on it. runs great. just be prepared to do some custom wiring and buy all the stuff you need while the motor is out. for instance, when i pulled the motor i replaced the steering rack, motor mounts, cv axles, radiator hoses, gaskets, belts, automatic belt tensioner, etc... in the end i payed over 4500 bucks, but totally worth it. so save your money and do it all at once.

You would have to contact the member on cb7tuner for the price. I have no idea what he's asking.

Wut up man if you are still looking for an H22a My bro has two for sale.
one is a H22A4 complete engine with no tranny or ecu for $975 with 27,000 miles on it. He also has a JDM H22a complete swap which is in his car right now it is very clean and well taken car of has many extras on it too. He bought the swap from hmotorsonline about 8 months ago and only has put about 5000 miles on it since. he needs to sell to pay some bills off. He is a member of cb7tuner.com and his user name is ridnlow. if you want pics just let me know. He wants $2000 for the full swap.

He might even drop the price if you are interested. He has replaced every seal, gasket, new timing belt, waterpump, and has the manual tensioner conversion on it. VERY STRONG RUNNING MOTOR!

Hey, this site never ceases to amaze me. Everytime i have a question i find the exact topic already being talked about on one of our forums. beautiful! Anyway, my question is: I saw this website: http://www.ultimateresourcegui....html and it's this guy selling an installation guide to the h22 swap. It says that there is a common mistake involving something vital to the life of the new h22 engine and it is the timing belt tensioner. He says that it is important to switch to a manual tensioner or you could blow the engine. Is this true?? I saw the last post about those engines and the mentioning of this manual conversion. So, is it? Is it vital to the h22 survival in a 95 accord. And do ya'll think this guy and his guide are legit??

its not vital to the life of the engine. if the automatic goes, which it has been known too, the t-belt will just get messed up and you have to replace it.

Many people switch from the automatic tensioner to the manual that is on the h23 and all the f. go look in the prelude faqs.

I have a 94 accord with a Jdm h22a in it that I installed. Before I put the engine in I did install the manual tensioner conversion to be safe. It is a good thing to do it only cost around $130 and I have the full list and part numbers of what you need for it. I have a H22A4 with no tranny, has 30,000 miles and is very clean with nothing wrong with it. $1000 shipped. Im also thinking about getting a F20B and selling my full Jdm H22a swap out of my 94 accord and it has many extras on it.

If anyone is looking for a guide on how to switch to the manual tensioner, look in the FAQ. The 2nd link down in the Engine section will show you all the part numbers and pictures on how to do it.
