My SRS light was on for the first week until I was able to take it in only to find out when they installed the leather seats, they didn't plug the sensors back in properly.
Although, if the SRS light is on and they didn't mess with your seats, it's more than likely a malfunctioning sensor of some type. Take it in to the dealer IMMEDIATELY since if you get in an accident with the SRS light on, the airbags will NOT deploy (so I've been told by the dealership) just in case there is some failure with them that would do more harm than good.
