Default HELP O2 Sensor Disaster

i just bought this Bosch universal o2 sensor for my 5th gen EX: http://www.partsamerica.com/Pr...set=A

the diagnostic said the downstream sensor is out but I have absolutely no idea how to switch out the old one with the new one. I am assuming i need to do some wire cutting...i have spray to help wedge the old one loose and a socket tool that is supposed to get out the old one. A full DIY guide or if someone would please write out how to I would really appreciate it.

well, cut the plug long enough so you can mate the wires to the new ones and its long enough.

then warm up the car and before its complelty cooled put on gloves or becareful not to burn yourself and put the socket over and then take it out

you warm it up so its not so tight in the pipe

eh.. It's ok to maybe jack it up to peak under it, but wouldn't recommend doing work on the car on just a jack. Get the drive up stands or something, which aren't to much.

Yea... stands. Good investment. Buy them. e-brake it, and put some stops.

if you jack up your car, i recommend doing it in the front and then putting something under the wheels to support the car while under there. then you have both sides up and can see everything you need to see. it shouldn't be too difficult

If you don't have anything useful to say, don't bother making a post please. I'm telling the guy this incase he needs to check on the shape of something etc, and by saying only use it to peak under, I'm reenforcing that he shouldnt do car work with just a jack.
He asked a question, and I gave a perfectly applicable reply and solution
"is it safe to jack up the side its facing so i can fit? "
You on the other hand, please feel free to do it and have a great time once the jack breaks and the frame comes flying on your face.
