Hey, I was thinking about a Koni Yellow and S-Tech set up. I own a 5th gen lude for those who didnt know. Since money is tight, I would love to just buy S-Techs and be good. If I just bought the S-Tech springs and installed them, how long would my stock shocks last? I dont want to have to install the Koni's and the S-Techs at 2 different times because I would be payn for labor for both instances. One other question I have is...What does everyone recommend as far as shocks go? I have herd nothing but good things about Koni's. So what do you guys think. I would like to hear from people who have lowered there cars on stock shocks, how are they holding up?
what kind of driving will the car see?
if its street i'd just suggest kyb agx's, cheaper, works perfectly fine if the drop isn't past 1.5"
koni's are really only necessary as racing shock, like autocross and etc., IMHO.

^ Hmm didnt know that. Why are they considered racing shocks? Are they really stiff? Ist that adjustable with these shocks? My car will be seeing more daily driving than anything. I May consider bringn it to a track once or twice... but thats it. [QUOTE=ap]what kind of driving will the car see?
about a month ago I re-lowered my lude on koni's and skunk2 coilovers. Without the shocks the car would not be driveable. It just was too harsh of a ride and the stock shocks were bottoming out constantly. Right now I have the shocks as stiff as possible. My 4th gen is a daily driver too. From me they get a

The warranty is lifetime right? So your saying the ride is comfortable? People that owned S-Techs on stock shocks, said that they handled and rode nice. However I just dont want to have to do things twice. More importantly, I dont want my stock shocks blown out on me. I am also getting a pretty good deal on some used Koni's btw. Thx all
from what I know and what I've been told by the dealer that I bought from, yea they have a lifetime warranty. With the small amount of lowering that S-techs offer I dont think you'll be putting enough strain on Koni's to blow them in the near future. Im dropped about 2'' on mine. Compaired to how the ride was before it is very comfortable.

If you've got the regular Konis, only in the back.

I've had this exact set up for a couple years now, (Koni Yellows with Tein S-Techs) personally love it and it handles great, I've used it on 5 different road courses, auto-xing etc. works very well for me

Ok, So I now know that I have the NEUSPEED KONI'S. How low can I take these...? I have BOTH Neuspeed Race Springs AND H&R Race Springs....I am trying to decide which ones will ride best.
I know the NEUSPEED RACE SPRINGS have a lil lower drop but would they work best with the NEUSPEED KONI YELLOWS?

Here's a pic of my car from the side so you can see how they sit. I have he regular Koni Yellows the ones that you get for like $107 apeice @ Tire Rack. They have 3 perches on them for height adjustability. You have to have the spring compressed to move the perch down from one slot to the other so you really have to pick the slot during installation, their not easily adjustable like Coilovers.

Your car looks awsome
. Its the exact setup I was planning on going with. OEM front, Mugen side and rears... Thx. So is your set to original height etc.

Good lord, that's puurty....How do the STECH's sit on the OTS Koni's perches? I'm asking because the Eibach's do not sit optimally on the perches. Also, how much gap do you have on the front/rear? About a finger gap, two? And lastly what is your tire size?
Do you have a closer/clearer shot of you car?
