problem w/EF i cant understand
hey ok well my cousin just bought a 89 civic with a d15 but he's having problem with it. NOTE: the engine doesnt shut off. however when he's in 2nd the car jerks and seems like it didnt go into gear and and he'll step on the gas and it'll rev up and then all of a sudden the car starts to drive...but it doesnt alwayz happen it'll happen sometimes.. is it the tranny? dizzy?

im thinking its the clutch thats slipping but when he's in 5th driving it'll happen again - which it shouldnt cuz the clutch is already engaged.
