Valve adjustment is done today. Question: After valve adjustment, is it normal that you still hear ticking?

 

Yes, you will still hear it, but of course depending on your adjustment. If it is louder than before or it sounds like knocking, kicking sound, then you didn't adjust it right. Due to our GSR valvetrain setup differ from LS, you will still hear it even with perfect adjustment being engine getting older, different setup valvetrain, worn valve seat/shim whatever you called it.

 

How long before it goes away?
