Default ITR HPDE track alignment numbers

Hey, Have a bone stock ITR with 22k miles. Only thing on the car is 15x7 speedmaster wheels and Falken Azenis. All suspension components are in great shape (I was just under it).

Drive the car once a week to work. Not too worried about street tire wear. Car sees just as much track as street. I am killing the outer edges of the front tires. Probably looking for middle of the road spec as far as tame/aggressive. I do not want to make drastic changes. The stock setup works pretty darn good, but the Honda factory conservative understeer is getting expensive with tires...

I searched, but I think I may be the only guy with a stock ITR that is tracked regularly. Can someone give me a middle of the road spec and an aggressive spec for a stock ITR?

Thanks, JC

If you have stock suspension arms, then you really have no front camber or caster adjustment, only toe. In the rear you can alter stock suspension camber with washers and toe with the compensator arm.

Out of interest, what cold pressures are you running your tires anyway?

Here's what I ran on my street/track Type R before it bacame a dedicated race car:

Front camber = 1.75 degrees neg
Rear camber = 1.0 degrees neg

Front toe = 1/16th out
Rear toe - O

I had Koni Yellows with 400lb front and 500lb rear springs. Skunk front "A" arms and Ingalls rear camber rods. This was a GREAT compromise street/track set up with no real tire wear issues.

I just had our 96spec JDM ITR aligned lastweek @ Motorsport Techniques in Hayward, CA.

Its completly stock except for some HKS HyperMax coilovers. Everything elese, suspension wise is stock.

Front left
Camber = -1.9
Caster = 0.2 deg.
Toe = -.02

Front Right
Camber = -2.4
Caster = 0.1
Toe = -0.04

Total front toe = -0.05 (1/16th inch toe out)

Left Rear
Camber = -2.3
Toe = 0.00

Right Rear
Camber = -2.1
Toe = 0.01

Total toe = 0.01 (pretty much ZERO)

We have run this setup before and it works awesome for both track and street.

Thanks for the responses. My tire pressures depend on the track and the weather, but my cold baseline is 35 front, 33 rear, and adjust +/- one psi from there.

depending on ambient temp and track temps we vary our cold tire pressures between 25 and 30.

On a warm day i usualy run 27f 28r

Good point!

I vary toe based on the track. Long straights = less toe. Tight tracks = 1/8th or more toe. I ran 1/4 at VIR once just as an experiment. It turned like a ****! When I trimmed it back to 1/16th, it gained 6+mph on both straights!
