Have a coolant leak near my 1987 prelude water pump
Been working on what I thought was a leak in the water pump, but upon futher investigation (after installing a new pump), it appears it's coming from the backside where the pump and bypass outlet connect at the engine mount. Tight quarters, so I won't know it's a cracked block or the bypass outlet itself.
Anyone done this repair (remove the pipe or swap the o-ring?
What am i getting myself into?
And what are the minimum amount of components I have to remove to get to it.
Figure at the least will have to remove the intake manifold, but if you know for sure what is required. Checked Chilton, Haynes, and the factory service manual, but none list this repair. Just glossed over when working on the cyclinder head.
Car is 87 prelude, 2.0 SI Auto / Fuel Injection.
