Well some *** hit my car today in the rear and did some hefty damage (1900 bucks worth at estimate place) The problem is that when i got it in to be looked at, it turns out the car has been hit there before and was kinda repaired (previous owner who never told me and i just found out about it today). The paint that was used to fix the car before was non OEM, and is now fading as is. I am thinking that I take the money for the repairs, buy used parts, and use the money to repaint the whole car??
what the heck do i do?

 

This just happened to me, i got 1500 for a rear end, i bought the bumper core support and the filler piece( one that the vtec badge is on) for 350 at the junk yard, i got the 98+ bumper. and i'm getting the car resprayed with the rest of the money.

That sux man.. if someone hits my car they might be leaving with a broken jaw.. Good luck with yoru situation.. When i look at the back of my GSR it looks as if its been repainted for some reason.. Im not sure if it is.. but it has kept me from taking off the GSR badge because of it... It looks like the people that did it did not tape around the badge.. so im afraid to take it off
If you can get the parts you need for pretty cheap and still have a good amount.. like 800+ for a paint job i would say go for it Good Luck man!!
