Default clutches

okay i don't see any reason why i should spend 600-1k on racing clutches. how well will a autozone clutch hold up to a turbo accord 95... about 230whps.. 8lbs.. do you think i can get away with it.. or it will start 2 slip like hell.. give me feedback i've heard ppl using their stock clutches on their turbo cars?

no, it holds the fly wheel actually

i don't even know where to start so here we go. if you are going to spend 4 hours changing your clutch, wouldn't it be a smart idea to throw in something better?
i am sorry but reman autozone part is mostly junk, if you want to take a risk of a 2nd clutch swap then go for it.

plus your math is wrong also, autozone clutch is aorund what? 100? that's just the disc itself, you are compareing that to a clutch kit, which include the pressure plate, TOB, disc.

the better question is do you need a upgraded pressure plate, sometime you can get away with it, sometime you can't.

act street disk is around 130-140
autozone is around 100?
act stage1 kit= 5-600

im not sure if you were serious or not...but to clarify, clutches do not handle specific horsepower ratings, but are rather rated at how much torque they can handle.

see the OP posted this:

You're going to spend $3000+ for a turbo kit for your car and you're not willing to spend a few hundred for a good clutch?
