WTS/WTT 1997 Civic coupe VSM tasteful mods *GSR* *b18c1* *WI*
$3,300 takes it, need to pay off bills!!!
Well I did have big plans for this car but I think I should be realistic because I dont have to time or money to do what I want so I think I am just going to sell it. I can get you pictures of whatever you want but they may not be to great because it is in the garage until the snow is all gone. this car has NEVER seen snow or salt in its entire life! ABSOLUTELY rust free!!!!! It is a 1997 Civic HX with approx. 125000 miles (can get exact but i am too lazy to run out to the garage to look). Has an average amount of scratches but im sure most could be buffed out. and it does have a few dents but for a 10 year old car i think its pretty damn good. I average around 36 mpg including city driving.
Eninge:
-D16Y5 with approx 125k (runs like a champ still)
-D16Z6 transmission (alot snappier but thats why I only get 36mpg out of an HX)
-Exedy OEM replacement clutch with approx 15k miles
-Monza 2.5" cat-back all black with crome tip (not installed, brand new in box)
Suspension & Wheels
-Arospeed lowering springs (ride nice and actually pretty low)
-Skunk2 camber kit
-Rota Subzero's (gunmetal w/polished lip)
-Yokahama prada spec 2 tires (going to need new ones soon, could come on steelies possibly)
Electronics
-Alpine head unit (very nice, may take out and put stock radio in)
The head unit is a newer model I have a cord ran from the back of the cd player into the glove box where you can plug in your Ipod and leave it and control everything on the head unit.
-Polk Audio speakers (all speakers are replaced with polk speakers, sounds EXCELLENT)
-Audiovox LCD security system (very nice top of the line about 1 1/2 years ago but still is excellent)
Exterior
-Windows professionaly tinted (35% on front two and 20% on rear three)
-Tsunami front lip (not painted or installed, i personally dont like it but would be more than happy to include)
-Type R grill (colormatched)
-Saab side marker lights
The only mechanical problem is it seems that the clutch is slipping which I am not sure why because the clutch was replaced roughly 15k miles ago and everything was done professionally and the clutch as broke in properly. It is still driveable but it does slip.
I also have a b18c1 out of a 99 gsr sedan that I would be willing to include for the right price. It is basically a complete longblock with a few extras. I have the rear t bracket needed to install into 96-00 civics. I also have ARP head studs, high volume fuel rail w/gauge, block guard, and engine harness. I am also willing to sell just the engine seperate too!

just throw me an offer but not anything too low, i havent really been looking around to see how much cars are going for but if i dont get enough i will just keep it and fix the clutch and use it for a daily

forgot to mention running a z6 manifold with only 1 o2 sensor the cel is on. also i have beat 96-00 ex civics with bolt ons so it is a very stong motor that gets excellent gas mileage

well i guess if there is no interest i will just keep it and fix it. i really didnt want to because i want to save and buy a really nice daily driver but who knows
