ITR Rear hatch performance bar??? Will it bolt up to an EK?
I was wondering if anyone knows if the ITR rear hatch performance bar will bolt up to an EK?
I just picked one up for $35 and I was wondering if anyone had done this mod.

no, it wont bolt up. u need to cut and weld to make the right lenght. i have done this to my car

Yes, I am referring to the truck brace.
I took measurements and I figured it would bolt right up. Well, I don't mind the modifications if I have to. All in the name of hybriding...

I am thinking that it probably fits to the Civic coupes and sedans but not the hatchbacks... anyone know for sure???

That's cool and all. But that bar on the EK (especially where it is mounted) is useless (in terms of adding rigidity).

That's cool and all. But that bar on the EK (especially where it is mounted) is useless (in terms of adding rigidity).

i could've swore that the brace you guys are referring to is a lower tie bar that only fits on the CTR rear subframe. that's what i've seen in the Hyper rev book for ek's. but i could be wrong. can anyone confirm this?

i thought it was suppose to go in the trunk across the spare wheel? or do hatches not have a trunk with spare?
You might be thinking of an aftermarket bar that runs across & on top of the spare wheel well, like a Benen or Backyard Special.

An OEM part that runs width-wise across the spare wheel well? Nothing like that exists. The bar pictured on top is what people are reffering to in this thread.
You might be thinking of an aftermarket bar that runs across & on top of the spare wheel well, like a Benen or Backyard Special.
