I removed my mugen rear strut bar, temporarily, last weekend. I could not budge the bolts for some reason (They looked to be in good shape). So I pulled a longer handle wrench out of the toolbox to get more leverage to loosen them. Well, turns out I had enough leverage. The end of the bold came off with the nut. DOH!

I have been looking and calling all over and have not been able to find the same type of allen head bolts and capped nut to replace them with. I have some temporary bolts In there now but I want to get the same type to replace them with.

Here are the specs of the bolts, as best as I could measure them with my cheap bolt size guide.

All Metric Sizes

Bolt:
Thread Pitch: 1.25
Shaft Size: 8
Length: 70

Note: Allen Head Bolt
Note: Threads start about 45 up the bolt

Nut:
Thread Pitch: 1.00
Shaft Size: 6
Length: 10 - 5 will work

Note: Capped nut

Can anyone provide a place, either local to northern VA or online or by phone, where I can get the replacement bolts from?

 

I just went to the hardware store and bought some decent stainless units and ran nylock nuts. Cost me less than $5 and it looks spiffy.

 

I did the same thing to my Mugen rear strut bar. You can't over tighten them or they will bottom out the cap nuts and strip the threads.
