o2 manifolds wires question

I have a 1996 civic dx hatch with a d16y7 im replacing the y7 manifold setup with the y8 how do i extend my o2 sensor wires from the manifold to the ex cat. will i also have to cut my exaust system down.

u can just put the o2 sensor back in the headers but if u get y8 u prolly wanna get ex headers

what kind of wire and can you just twist them together like a sound system why do you have to solder them

soldering is so much better than crimping. look for the same gauge wire. auto parts store may have it. use heat shrink wrap on the connection too.
