Default Swapping my busted D for another one. Q's

- im not doing a b series or z6,y8 etc. So please dont bother posting "Go b series... "etc.

The motor in this piece i just bought is wrecked. So im throwin in a new d series.
The tranny and clutch on this motor seem fine, so I want to leave that alone.

What motors will bolt right up to the stock 88 civic 5 spd tranny?

I did this before in a 88 lx 4 door EF and a d15b7 worked good.

Will i run into problems with tranny fitment or mounts etc.?

Also - This motor is dpfi and it is staying that way. Sooo keep that in mind when you answer these questions please!
Thank you!

Staying DPFI....

The following will work minty with stock ECU and DPFI setup (Manifold and Distributor)
- D15B1
- D15B2
- D15B7 - Need to change engine mount bracket under timing cover for one out of the stock motor. Some wiring extensions (like two)

The following will run a smidge lean since there is an extra 100cc of displacement but the same amount of fuel
- D16A6
- SOHC ZC
- D16Y7 - Need to change engine mount bracket under timing cover for one out of the stock motor. Some wiring extensions.

Just to give you a heads up if you don't know, if you run any of those motors you'll have to use your stock intake manifold along with the injectors, etc. If you run the MPFI mani with the DPFI ECU it probably won't even run.
