Axle nut torque specs for 92 Civic Si hatch?? Reuse axle nuts?
I recently bought my 92 Civic Si hatch and noticed that the drivers side CV boot is shot........looks like its been shot for awhile.........so I bought a BRAND NEW (not reman) complete axle assembly..........can the axle nut be reused AND what are the torque spec of the axle nut?..........I don't want to overtighten it!
Just use a half inch impact and go till is stops. You can use the old nut just make sure it doesnt have bad threads or anything first. If they look good use it.
134 ft-lbs. The manual recommends replacing the axle nut but if it's not stripped I don't see why you can reuse it. Just restake the nut.

Most people does it this way but it is the wrong way and is not recommended, use a wrench or torque wrench to torque down your axle not.
The impact from the inpact gun will damaged your wheel bearing
