5th Gen Prelude- Looking to purchase.
What are some things to look out for? Any preferable years? Any common problems/troubles? How are the SH's holding up?
Most of the one's I'm looking at have about 100k miles, so I don't want to get something that's going to require major maintenance/repairs soon.
Thanks!

I just bought a 98 SH about a month ago, i just rolled 91k. It runs great haven’t had any problems, nor any signs of problems. Timeing belt is in great shape, no leaking of any fluids, clutch doesnt slip at all. I hit V-tec every time at same time, motor runs strong and hard. No nocks, ticks of any sort. All in all I think buying my lude was a great deal, I don’t here to many bad things about them, i'm happy with mine

Just make sure the T-belt and H2O pump has been done alone with the auto tensioner. As long as the maint. has all been done you should be good. As for certain years, I prefer the 99-01.
Good luck in your hunt.

The 5th gen's were unchanged 97-01, other than minor color differences, etc. Look at all model years.
Timing belt, water pump should be replaced around 90k. Other stuff that should be done around then: valve adjustment, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, spark plugs/wires, distributor cap+rotor etc. The only maintenance regarding ATTS would be to replace the fluid (Honda ATF) every so often. Honda doesn't even mention a fluid change interval for it.
Usually a car that has been taken care of well will reflect in it's overall condition in/out, service records, etc. Personally, I would get a compression test done as well.
Good luck.

Hey are preludes really burning that much oil? , Everybody seems to talk about it a lot. Also does the H22 have a good fuel economy? When i purchase mine i will jump from a 1.5L ( my daily ) to a 2.2L
Fuel economy is not great in modern standards but depends how much you drive and how you drive. Mine is around 8l/100km straight driving outside cities without much accelerations
