will a zc motor and a d series tranny bolt up

zc is a "D" series motor. Yes it will fit

What year ZC motor and what year tranny? That's really the only obstacle. You also have to use a cable tranny.

i bolted my 91 tranny to my 96 zc, just had to change out the automatic fly wheel so i could use manual.its all the same bro, that or get a conversion kit and make it hydro, hydro is better but spendy.

Just make sure your clutch and flywheel are compatible. I think the 88 flywheel is about 1" smaller than the 89-91. Other than that, any d-series tranny will bolt up.
