Just get a High flow cat on a N/A Car you will Rob power from yourself more than helpyourself.

true not to mention that depending where you live the test pipe might get your car taken from you. not worth it in a na car at all barely worth it in a boosted car. check out this months Super street I believe they did an article comparing oem cat to hi flow cat to test.

If you're running an aftermarket exhaust, yes, the car will be much louder with a test pipe or high-flow cat. If you're dead set on removing the stock cat, get a high-flow cat.

I recommend listening to philadd, he knows what he's talking about.
Lol, and having a ULEV doesn't make you any greater of a candidate for removing a CAT. Without that you introduce things that any car wouldn't produce...

you foo, its a ULEV cuz its got sensors like out the ***, and a cat thats hella effiecent, trust me on this one: if th eonly reasons ur wanting to expletive up the air i breathe is for a FEW more horsepower and crappy low end torque and one more mpg, and to make the car a little louder, i can help you out, make ur own cold air intake!!!, just get rid of the resonator, and move "the snorkel" to the bottom, secure it with washing machine clamps(the ones where u tighten a scew)

its better than a real CAI cuz u gain power thru the WHOLE rpm range, vs a CAI lose bottom, gain top, stock=more bottom shitty top end

also its free, and u get more mpg (provided u drive humanly) it sounds awesome, u still get cold air but dont haveto worry about hydrolock, aaaan those ULEV motors are reallly sensitive, wasnt there a TSB that a light will go off if u open the hood on a cold day or some BS like that....

i did that to my 5th gen and i noticed a significant drop in power in the uppper RPMs (around 4.5k-redline), and everytime i dorve through a puddle it would suck in water and make the engine run like its about to die for a few minutes. not to mention the increased noise, and it doesnt even sound like a SRI or CAI, it just sounds nasty.

stupid mod with little to no gains IMO.
