Default exhaust leak into coolant

I have a '91 DX w/d15b2 motor. I'm getting exhaust in the coolant. I figure it's probably the head gasket but is there any thing else it could be? It dosen't have EGR but could there be any passages that could have corroded? Thanks!

Thats not physically possible unless u have a really really bad crack in ure cylinder head...do you mean coolant in your exhaust?

NO NO NO, no one on here listens, Ive seen this problem time and time again, your getting exhaust bubbles through the coolant, Its a blown head gasket, probally between cylinder 2 and 3, the black paint that is on the gasket when they are new, takes a crap and for lack of a better term, falls off. I bet your temp gauage spikes every once in a while in traffic too....?

I'm getting a constant bubbling(from coolant tank) that gets greater as the throttle is opened. You can also smell the exhaust in the reservoir. No, its not overheating. It is not losing very much coolant. It acts like a headgasket that has blown to a water passage. My main question is if there are any exhaust passages near the intake side(for EGR) that could be corroded or leaking. I would like the head gasket to be the last resort. Mine is not a california car so it dosen't have EGR, but i thought the passages might still be there. According to the factory shop manual the EGR valve sits on the intake (when it has one)

Blown HG for sure. Change it before it does damage to your radiator, all that extra gas will build up pressure in the cooling system and cause your radiator to blow up.

Yor right about the egr, where it is supposed to be, but it doesnt matter if your car does not have one. basically between the cylinder wall and the collant jack is where your problem is come from, they normally start out very slow, but it will increase, your not burning much coolant because the cylinder pressure is constally exhausting gas throught your coolant system
