Default How to seal a Moroso oil pan properly?

My baffled steel oil pan is dropping oil while the engine is running in every 2 seconds. We are using stock rubber gasket + locktight paste.

How the hell I can prevent oil dropping? I heard it is a common problem with Moroso...

I use a rear sumped moroso and it only leaked at the front #1 side corner. When I had it off to look at the bottom end, I just added a dab of silicone sealer to the oem gasket and threw it back on and have no problems with it.

Is the oil pan warped? That's the first thing I would check.

FYI: oil pan "face" was checked for flatness and a hammer used where it was necessary... + new gasket + a little hondabond solved the probplem.

Not perfect... still dropping slightly.
Thinking to switch to a Mugen or Spoon oil pan.

Are you sure it's not the 1/2" NPT pipe plug for the oil return? I had to go back and Hondabond the plug before it stopped weeping.

i'm using the steel pan and don't have any problems. the mating surface was pretty rough; i dremeled down a few bumps that were sticking up and use a bunch of hondabond to seal the dips. with about 700 miles on it i don't have any leaks yet.

I've been slowly getting to each leak. The pan probably leaks from every mating surface and port plug.

The oil drain port leaked. I tightened it a little more and it stopped. But, I always have to go back in a couple of days to check it and retighten if necessary.

The turbo oil drain was a big leaker. Fixed that by installing the 1/2" NPT to -10AN adapter with Hondabond and capping it with a -10AN flare cap. Fixing that leak kept a large portion of oil off the bottom of the pan.

The Mugen oil pan I had was perfect....except I didn't want to bastardize a $250 pan with a bunch of weld-on adapters. I'm kind of wishing I had now.

Yeah, the Mugen pan is perfect for me as well (since it is a modified stock P72 pan).

I have found the problem lies int the nipples between the holes being too large. They squish the seal out of form and makes it leak. Solution....... I used a Felpro Gasket and it sealed perfectly. The seem to me made of silicone not rubber and do not loose their shape as easily as the OEM units.
