That's a good how to.

Most of the questions you have should be answered by that. If they're not, reply here or use the search (preferably search).

What he said^^^^it's a pretty good write up. If you search on here you will find tons and tons of stuff on the mini-me swap.

convert to obd1,run the wires for vtec, convert to mpfi,

you can do this **** yourself or send out your harness and get it back ready to plug and play..

if you want to do it yourself look here obd0-obd1 vtec http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...-OBD1

Could you not just use the harness and ecu from a d16z6 on the mini-me swap straight up? In other words could you unplug the existing harness and ecu, perform the swap and then just use the untampered d16z6 harness and ecu (granted that you have gotten a d16z6 intake manifold as well)?

no,,that harness wont plug into our cars without alot of mods,,its always easier to use the original harness and modify it...also the ecu he has now is better then the p28 cause afterall he has a 1.5 sohc vtec not a 1.6 sohc vtec so the ecu should run his motor damn near perfect
