how to get seized axle out of the hub?
go to a truck stop or a place where they do disel tire changes. get a 1" yes a 1 inch breaker bar or impact wrech alot of wd40 and it will come off i have problem i broke 3 1/2 breakers and 2 3/4 inch witha 1 inch it came right off witha 8 foot cheater bar. its a pain
get a torch heat it up should break away after that. if nothing else get a a damn i forgot what they call it but its some kind of press that works off hydrolics should be able to pushi out for you
I would just spray some pb blaster or liquid wrench around the splines, let it sit for 10 minutes and use either a 1/2 extension on the axle end itself, or like mentioned above, put the axle nut on bacwards. Then procure a 5lb sledge or other suitable hitting device and figure the rest out yourself.

My god, it happened to me two weeks ago.. I hate this happen and took me 7 hours to take the damn rusty cv axle off.. I bought 5 tons hammer, PB blaster, and the Pully part.. The rusty axle finally came off but guess what, I damaged the hub because I wasnt pay attention of where I hit at.. Oh well...
Spray some PB Blast around the splines... Let it sit there for a couple minutes... If that doesn't work, use a torch and hit it up.. If all else fails, get an air hammer and apply it to the end of the axle...
Good Luck!!!

I used PB blaster over a series of two weeks, every morning and every evening it was sprayed, SOB still wouldnt come out. I ended up with a 5lb sledge hammering away(baseball swings!) until it broke loose. Then I had to get the dremel out and cut away the mushroomed head to get it thru the axle... I also tried the impact hammer with no luck.
use pb blaster, for a day, heat it up, and take an air hammer with a round point on it and put that point into the little round opening of the axle and go to town, dont hit it witha hammer or else it will mushroom the end of the splines and make it almost impossible to get out

I tried that too, after, I could stick my finger in the hole it made.

With a 4' breaker bar with all three of us trying to get it off together it still wouldn't budge. After that we figured a chisle (sp) gun would surely do the trick with all the vibration and all. Yet the chisle gun still by itself wouldn't do the trick. Alas though, heat works wonders.

Sorry for the shotty pic, it's all I got. We seem to think the last person that put it on was with an impact gun.
Edit: FWIW, we tried the impact gun to no avail.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I had the same experience as you have about one year ago. A press will not work because the way the knuckle is shaped, you probably wont be able to lay it down flat enough.
An air hammer wont have enough nuts to push it out, regardless of what kind of head you use. I had to soak my knuckle and axle in a pool of PB blaster for 3 days. I had to use a 10lb dead blow hammer a few times. I ended up ruining the axle with no other choice. The end mushroomed and had to be grinded off as it worked its way out. On top of that, with all the impact, be prepared to replace your bearings, as I had to replace mine.
