after swapping a ls motor in my 96 ek coupe i keep getting a check engine light, the code is p1259 manufacter specific code . whats that

 

You must be using the wrong ECU, because 1259 is for VTEC Malfunction ...

 

i am using a 96 ls ecu , the plug for the vtec is just hanging. will that cause the car to miss and not rev out

 

whats the number on the side of the ECU?

Then you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

You should not have VTEC.

So either you have the wrong ECU and wiring harness, or you don't have an LS motor (B18B1).

And yes, leaving plugs hanging is a problem.

or whats it look like on the inside... i have seen cases switched out...
