well i put my itr bottom end back together with all new bearings, oil pump, same type r rods w/ new ctr's on them. I have a new head build with stage 2 cams, and a stock set of new type r valves. i ordered a cometic head gasket 65 thousands. I am expecting the build to be back at 11.4-11.6.1 compression. Are my calculations right i even used the dome of the piston.

 

Looks like 11.36:1 to me. Calculations look good.

So you're using a .065" headgasket, right? So roughtly 2.5 times thicker than stock, is it 4-Layer?

 

yeap it 2 sheets of .030 in the middle

 

Alright cool, just making sure you weren't trying to use a .0065" headgasket... That would throw CR WAAAAAAAY too high, over 13.5:1.

But as you previously stated, with .065" headgasket (Ticker than OEM 3-Layer), it will be just around 11.4:1-11.5:1. Perfect CR for a mild build.
