Default 1997 Accord LX will not start in cold weather

I need some input, please.
My daughter's car will not crank when it is cold outside. I hear the familiar single click, starter will not crank. Somewhere between 35-40 degrees and below it will not crank. Battery is good and all of the other usual culprits. The really strange thing is if you put a hair dryer on the starter/ solenoid and warm it up it will start. As long as there is heat from the engine it will start. Just as on another post , today the check engine light came on, I took it to the parts store and read a "P1359 Manufacturer control ignition system or misfire" All other sights I have looked P1359 should be "CKP/TDC sensor connector disconnection" Thanks in advance!

I want to say there is an ignition recall on these cars (96/97) but I'm not 100% sure on that, can anyone check on it?

If that's the case I would take it in, have that checked and see what's up

Thanks for the advice MuffinMan, I will try to give the dealer a call tomorrow. I just bought the car used last fall, I guess the warranty would cover current owner? If that is the problem. By the way is that a real Burger King hat?

haha yeah, I was at a pool party with the hat for some reason and loved the picture that was taken I'm a fan of the king

And yes, that recall would cover the new owner and I do not believe mileage is an issue on that one.

There's another open recall for the emissions between 80-150k miles that'll replace your distributor, free oil change, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and a couple other things

the starter problem and CEL are probably not related.
Check the battery terminals and cable connections first, then if that's no help;
If you hear the 'click' of the starter but no crank, try having some one hold it in 'crank position while you smack the starter. Caveman test
If it starts cranking the starter solenoid contacts probably are bad.
They are stupid cheap at any auto electric shop and easy to replace on the 'ND' starters. Some dealers stock them as well.
I'll post up a pic of what they look like.

From a Yota 'ND' starter
