Default ltranny swap question

will a tranny from a d15b carburated 90 4door civic fit my d15b vtec 88 crx?!

Jordan...nice place.

It should but following the rules of EF'dom the 1990 transmission would have a different input shaft than the 1988 so you'd have to change the clutch to match.

D trannis will bolt up. Yes the 88 has more splines (2) than 89& up. So you would have to get another disc for the 90 tranny

thanks guys, cuz my tranny is fucked up, it doesnt grind and shifts smoothly, but the passenger side wheel spins unbelivably than the driver's side, i change my tranny once and i changed the clutch and the axels cuz they didnt fit my old, so i guesss that my tranny now is 90, but i want a longer gears so i guess the carborated engine comes with longer gears than the si, i'm having unbelievable burn out problems with this tranny cuz its too short.

get the flywheel as well.
The 88 flywheel is 190mm and the 89 is 200mm

Don't dump the clutch like it's on fire and you'll be fine.
